So somebody with a little Linux advocacy site goes on the web and is outraged:

LinuxHow2 | Microsoft runs Linux Smear Campaign

…All the points made are flat out lies. For example, “people choose Windows Server for better security than Linux.” But when you click on this precarious statement to learn more, it simply states that Windows Server 2008 is the most secure windows server ever; no explanation; no details; no truth; no actual comparison to a Linux-based server.

Be still my heart. Welcome to the world of advertising, comrade. So far, no biggie, just an attempt to draw traffic.

But then our little attention-whore decides to illustrate this breathtaking news (OMG!! Microsoft wants to sell Windows!!!) with this:

and the only sane reaction is screw you, kid. If you really think that MS is in any way analogous to Nazis, then we need to mount a campaign to get your mom to cut the cable, lock the basement door and spare the world any more of your heroic suburban fantasies.

I use Linux, I love Linux, and if you told me I had to use Windows I’d be very depressed. But MS is not the Third Reich, and Bill Gates is not Satan. He is, at the moment, doing great things for children in places you probably couldn’t point to on a map. So just stuff it.
